San Ren Xing Meeting--Fastener FAQ Forum

During the first and the second day of Fastener Trade show (Sep 23-24, 2008), San Ren Xing Meeting-Fastener FAQ Forum was held successfully at Exchange Area, Section A of Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. This forum was divided into two parts:

The first part was held from 14:00 to 16:30 on Sep 23, 2008 with the theme "Standardization of Fastener and Thread". Our MCs were Mr. Ding Baoping, Secretary-General of National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration, and Mr. Zhang Deli, consultant of National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration. The guest lecturers included consultants of National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration Mr. Yang Lin, Mr. Li Anmin, Mr. Sun Xiaoyan and Mr. Li Weirong, also Mr. Li Xiaobin Secretary-General of the Committee for Screw Threads Standardization of China. There were four themes in this forum: 1. Establishment and edit revision of "thread" on GB and ISO; 2. Brief history of China fastener standardization development; 3. Brief introduction of fastener on national military standard; 4. Experts solve problems on the spot.

The second part was held from 14:00 to 16:00 on Sep 24, 2008 with the theme "Mechanical Properties, Materials and Surface Treatment". Our MC was Mr. Zhang Deli. The guest lecturers were Mr. Qin Senquan, consultant of National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration and experts of China Fastener Info consulting system Mr. Meng Wugong, Mr. Yan Zhenzhong and Mr. Zhang Xianming. Themes of in this forum included: Mechanical Properties and materials; Fastener surface treatment ---zinc plating & passivation, zinc sheet coating, hot dip galvanizing, stainless steel passivation & phosphorization; Prevention and treatment of hydrogen embrittlement.

Mr. Li Weirong, Chairman of National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration, concluded this forum as follows: "We communicated a lot during the two half-day forums. We invited some experts to introduce some standard and technical problems, and at the same time we raised lots of questions according to our experiences. I think it is really interactive. It is very important for us to improve general industrial level and advance industrial structure through the interactions and this activity in such kind of platform. Furthermore, the level does not depend on one or two enterprises but the big enterprises involve the middle & small enterprises.

This forum was highly appreciated by lots of exhibitors and visitors who attended this lecture. They expressed their desire to attend the training courses which are held in Hangzhou Fastener Training Center by China Fastener Info, so that they can further advance competitive edge of both enterprise and products.
